2. Open up NOTEBOOK. Create a SLIDE that shows the GROUP that you chose. You will put ONE QUESTION - Listed below, on each slide.
You need to get answers for the following questions:
Who were the people in your group?
What kinds of resources did they have?
Who made up the groups (kids, adults, foreigners)
Where did they originate?
How did they get west?
Why did they want to move west?
Did they choose to move west for a specific reason (was it a CHOICE or were they forced)
How was their trip west? Were they successful? Did most people make it?!?!
What hardships did they face while moving west? What did they do when they got to the west?
What did they leave behind (what was there legacy)?
PART Two - Research Continued and Pictures
Make sure you spend some quality time to make sure ALL of your answers are accurate and complete. If you think you are done with this you can move on to PICTURES!!!
Directions for Pictures - Go to CLIP ART , or use the Digital Databases ONLY!!! YOU CAN LEGALLY USE GOOGLE IMAGES - if you remember the directions. You can watch IMAGES PART TWO if you need to. You need to find AT LEAST one picture for EVERY SINGLE QUESTION - The pictures can not be the same for multiple questions!!!!!!
1. Put a NEW FOLDER on your desktop. Label your folder westward expansion pictures.
2. You can drag the pictures you find into the folder.
3. If you have MORE TIME - then get MORE PICTURES, the more the better :) But you MUST have at least one for each question.
If you ARE DONE - You will need a sheet of paper, get started on the WEBQUEST listed below.

Directions -
You must have ALL of your questions answered, and ALL of your pictures found (look at the directions for day one and two) before moving onto creating your powerpoint!!!!!!
1. Look at Mr. Hintons example. This is what your PowerPoint should look like.
2. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP IN MIND - THEY KEY MENU IS THE SLIDESHOW MENU in your powerpooint.
3. The more buttons the better!!!!! You must have at least 10! But if you have MORE TIME add MORE BUTTONS.
4. Each picture should only represent A SHORT FACT!!!! If the answer to your question is long then you are going to want to have more than one picture / button.
(Monday) Day Five - PowerPoint / Webquest.
Continue to work on your powerpoints, if you are NOT done.
MAKE SURE YOU TURN IN YOUR PROJECT INTO THE DROP BOX.
